Alright ya'll. I pitched that washed Flanders Golden Ale in my Belgian Pale over the weekend that I won during the yeast washing demo in Dec. So, I took it out of the fridge and and let it sit for a while. Then before I pitched, I shook it up and got all the yeast off the bottom of the jar. Cooled my wort down to about 70° and pitched after I oxygenated the batch. This was at 6pm on Sunday night and I have seen no action out of my airlock whatsoever. So I checked the seal on the bucket and its tight. My temp is around 68-70°. No Starter. What gives? Any advice? Repitch? I haven't opened it to see if there was any krausen built up nor have I taken a SG check...

Ok, come on! Not everybody at once here! LOL well don't worry! She took off today and I'm lucky I didn't come home to a mess. Never had krausen creep its way into the air lock, but I guess there's a first for everything. I now have a blow of tube hooked up, but it seems like the krausen has already fallen. This one has been an adventure!

Hey Tom,
I remember you referring to a video on youtube about a much easier way to wash yeast than I have been doing. So far I use 3-4 jars every time and it takes at least 30 min. I'd like to cut some time if I can so whatever you know would be helpful. Thanks!

Makes pretty good sense to me, but I don't generally do my primary fermenting in a carboy. I have been meaning to, however. And if I do, I'll probably give this method a shot.
