Now that we have a few more members I am going to try to put together a bulk grain order. Remember, we need to fill about half a pallet to make it worth the shops time. This is going to require about (20) 50# bags of grain to be able to do. That being said, please respond to this thread to see if we can gather enough interest to put together an order. Once I get enough demand I will talk to Kerrie and Dave at the shop and get it put in.

Can we get a variety of grain or does it all have to be the same?! I'd be willing to throw down for a bag of 2-row and a bag of Maris Otter

Yes, ANY grain you can imagine. Doesn't matter if its CaraRye. Not sure what you would do with 50lbs of it  . Or, if you wanted a multitude of different types and possibly split a bag of something semi common with a few people, say... Crystal 60°, that's fine too. We just need to fill half a palette to make it happen |

The club needs to get an email out. Maybe listing a few of our options so everyone can see an example of the savings.
I am getting some large heavy duty zip lock bags for one of my customers. Food grade and will be perfect for splitting up and storing grains.

It doesn't sound like we have critical mass to make the bulk buy, at least for this month. I gonna buy a 50# bag of malt before Christmas. I would love to do it as part of the club. Maybe next time.  |
