This is a 5-gallon all grain clone recipe for Town Hall's Hope & King Scotch Ale. Our boys live in Minneapolis so I has an opportunity to tip the original after making the first batch. Suprisingly, I thought the clone was bit more malty and caramelly. The Town Hall visit was towards the end of the beer crawl though so that could have been a factor . Give it a try and let me know if you come up with any recipe improvement tweaks. OG - 1.060 FG - 1.012 Ingredients: •5.50# British Golden Promise •4.75# Rahr Pale Ale •0.50# Flaked Barley •0.25# German Munich Malt •0.25# Briess Caramel 20 •0.25# English Chocolate Malt •0.25# English Medium Crystal •0.125# Roasted Barley •0.1875# Belgian Special B •0.25oz Centennial •3.00oz Fuggles •WY#1098 British Ale Instructions: A.Mash at 151-deg for 60-min with 4 gallon H2O. B.Sparge with enough 170-deg H2O to hit your preboil volume. C.Add 0.25oz Centennial when boil is reached and boil for 60-min. D.Add Irish Moss with 15-min left to flameout E.Add 3oz Fuggle with 10-min left to flameout F.Ferment around 68-deg. G.When fermentation is complete, transfer to secondary for 4-weeks.
